Jim Rider  As MVI's Vice President of Operations, Jim Rider oversees all business development consulting and proposal preparation assignments. Mr. Rider's career encompasses three decades of DoD project successes in his capacity as Manager of Business Development (Training Devices/ Foreign Military Sales/National Guard/Aviation Training Systems) for Lockheed Martin Electro-Optical Systems as well as Business Development Manager for Raytheon Service Company. He also represented Loral Electro-Optical Systems as its Manager of Business Development - Florida Operations (point man for Loral's support to STRICOM/Naval Training Systems Center in Orlando). Mr. Rider's early career emphasis included manufacturing and systems engineering for Loral.

    Highlights of support activities include:

  • Proposal manager with proposal outline and technical volume preparation responsibility for numerous government solicitations including ID/IQs for Information Technology and Logistical Support; GSA Schedules for IT, MOBIS, Millennia Lite and Financial Management Services; and competitive solicitations for various training and weapon systems
  • Establishing "Required to Win" strategies through use of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and secondary marketing data sources
  • Business development planning with U.S. Army National Guard to track and bid its training systems requirements

Mr. Rider earned his Master of Arts (MA) in Management from Claremont Graduate School and Bachelor of Business (BS) in Administrative Science from Pepperdine University.
